BirdDog Logistics acquires CTG Financial

(Andover, Mass. and Charlotte, N.C.) In a move that will further strengthen ties with fleet owners and freight carriers, BirdDog Logistics Services, LLC, has acquired CTG Financial, LLC, a privately owned factoring services provider. The terms of the recently signed definitive agreement between the two companies were not disclosed.

With a strong reputation for personal service and reliable financial programs for carriers, CTG Financial represents a strategic addition to BirdDog’s freight management business. “We look forward to expanding our Carrier Services platform to a broader community of logistics services providers and independent fleet owners, offering them fair and flexible financial services that will facilitate their ongoing success,” said Richard Piontek, president, BirdDog Logistics.

“BirdDog will be maintaining the same CTG personnel and will continue to provide the same high level of professionalism and service to which our customers have become accustomed,” added Derek Skea, president of CTG Financial. “Since CTG will now be part of BirdDog, our valued fleet owners and carriers will be able to take advantage of BirdDog’s established and financially thriving logistics services business while continuing to rely on the innovative factoring services that we provide, such as Tag Financing Agreements and custom-tailored factoring agreements.”
