NCTA announces 2010 board members at annual meeting

(Raleigh, N.C.) The North Carolina Technology Association (NCTA), the primary voice of the technology industry in North Carolina, announced its 2010 board members to a sellout crowd of over 400 at its Annual Meeting & Showcase. The Board Members were officially voted in during the business session of the Annual Meeting held Friday, January 29 at the Embassy Suites in Cary. Michael Smith, Research VP at Gartner, provided “The Outlook for IT: 2010 and Beyond.” as the featured speaker of the event.

Nick Kottyan, CEO of DataChambers, was named NCTA Chairman of the Board. With more than twenty-five years of experience in the technology and telecommunications industries, Kottyan is especially well-versed in the critical information technology challenges facing today’s businesses. In addition to Kottyan, the following is a list of new and returning 2010 Board Members:

With a Winston-Salem based Chairman, NCTA looks forward to further expanding its reach in the Triad. The organization currently has its Open Golf Championship and Leadership Conference as well as two Emerging Technologies & Trends events scheduled to be held in Greensboro. Additionally, last year NCTA appointed a Membership Development Director, based in Greensboro, for the Triad.

NCTA’s Annual Meeting and Showcase was the organization’s first Signature Event of the year. This annual gathering of the Board of Directors, member companies and industry leaders allows members to reflect on the accomplishments of the previous year and present the goals for the year ahead. The event also presents an opportunity for member companies to exhibit their products, technologies and services.
