Cisco, VMware and EMC select Varrow to sell and deliver the Vblock

(Research Triangle Park, N.C.) Varrow today announced it is one of the first integrators certified to sell and install Vblock infrastructure packages in the Southeastern United States, and one of only 54 organizations worldwide certified to sell the Vblock. The Vblock solutions are pre-integrated and tested infrastructure packages that bring together technologies from Cisco, EMC and VMware and deliver them as a single entity to the customer with a single line of support. They combine virtualization, networking, storage, security, and management and deliver these powerful individual components as one solution.

The Vblock was born from a coalition created by Cisco, EMC and VMware – called the Virtual Computing Environment (VCE) coalition – and promises to change the way organizations procure IT infrastructure. The Vblock will accelerate the movement to the private cloud – an enterprise-class cloud computing model designed to give organizations flexibility in their computing environment without sacrificing security and control.

Varrow’s position at the forefront of the Vblock infrastructure rollout can be attributed to the quality of Varrow’s engineering expertise at every layer of the Vblock stack. Varrow is certified at the highest datacenter level with Cisco, EMC and VMware. Varrow is a certified Cisco Datacenter Networking and Storage partner and UCS Advanced Technology Partner, a Premiere VMware partner, and was named EMC’s Commercial Partner of the Year in 2009.

“The Vblock is a market-shifting solution because it takes the one downside of ‘best-of-breed’ off the table by providing a single line of accountability,” said AJ Ragosta, VP of Sales at Varrow. “Our customers can see it at work in our labs, they can read about in on our engineering blogs, or they can talk to our consultants and engineers in-person about the power of this solution. We are passionate about what the Vblock can bring to organizations and we are well-equipped to educate, design, and deliver on its promise.”

For organizations looking to learn more about the VCE coalition and Vblocks, Varrow offers a number of workshops that enable IT administrators to better understand these packages so they can make informed decisions.

At Varrow, helping our customers achieve their technology goals is all we do. Whether reacting to an incident that requires greater expertise or crafting solutions from scratch, Varrow consults with our customers to ensure we “get it”. Designing requirements-driven solutions and consulting with our customers on how to achieve what they want to do is the focus for Varrow.

Our team consists of professionals who are the best at what they do, and can communicate and translate business requirements into technology solutions. While you may not know (or care) about how server virtualization works, or how some of the “magic” happens behind the scenes, Varrow has the talent ready to convert your wants and needs into action and results that deliver value.
