Hatteras Networks appoints Vincent Zumbo chief financial officer

Hatteras Networks is pleased to announce that technology industry veteran, Vincent Zumbo, has joined the company as its Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The company’s increasing growth and upward trajectory, including rising numbers of new global deployments across North America, EMEA, and Asia-Pacific regions dictated the need for seasoned financial leadership. Mr. Zumbo, brings 25 years of experience in telecommunications, software, software as a service (SaaS), and venture-backed organizations and was chosen from a pool of highly qualified select candidates.

Prior to his position with Hatteras, Mr. Zumbo served as CFO of Fortisphere, a virtualization management software developer. Additionally, he was chief financial officer at a variety of telecom and technology-based organizations, including ServiceBench, Inc., (acquired by National Electronics Warranty (NEW); Princeton Optronics, Zagros Networks, and Acorn Networks. Mr. Zumbo also served as Vice President, Finance and Administration at Formtek, Inc., a pioneer in large-scale engineering document management software systems, which was acquired by Lockheed Martin Corporation. Vince began his career at Paradyne Corporation (now Zhone Technologies) during which time, the company experienced significant growth from $10 million to over $300 million in sales and a highly successful IPO.

Mr. Zumbo holds a Bachelors degree in Business Administration in Accounting from Siena College, Loudonville, New York.
