(Winston-Salem, N.C.) InterAct Public Safety Systems, a leading provider of safety and security software used by government agencies as well as private sector businesses, today announced the release of InterActMobile version 8 with improved inter-agency data-sharing and administrative features. The release includes the launch of the InterAct Connections Engine (ICE), a powerful message switch that hosts the InterActMobile and InterActPocketCop systems and their connections to third-party applications. InterActMobile version 8 will be demonstrated in Booth 525 at the National Sheriff’s Association conference June 28 – 30 in Anaheim, CA.

The ICE DataShare Option (DSO) is a powerful, flexible, and robust framework for connecting multiple servers together and sharing disparate types of information between them. Through the newly expanded capabilities of the DSO in ICE Version 8, agencies now have the ability to not only share unit status information and messages, but also data from Field Interviews, Matching Recent Inquiries (MRI), and data from a variety of sources including records management and AVL systems.

In addition to the DataShare Option, InterActMobile V8 has vastly improved administrative management tools. The new ICE console allows effective monitoring and management of critical system component status through one click control of CommProvider, ICE, and MobileGovernment. The functionality of the legacy (PacketCluster/InfoServer) console has been consolidated in the enhanced web-based ICE Administrator tool, including:

* Complete User and Unit management
* Role-based security
* Unit/User Status with extended unit information
* Command line support
* Remote configuration file management
* All previous ISA functionality (Printers, Notices, File transfers, Logging and database management)

“This iteration of InterActMobile was driven by the fundamental principle of equipping law enforcement personnel with the most detailed information possible,” said Mark Fetherolf, Chief Technology Officer of InterAct Public Safety Systems. “The more information we are able to provide to an officer on the go, the safer our Country will be.”
