July 01, 2010 By: NCTechNews Category: Data Management

(Cary, N.C.) DataFlux, a leading provider of data management solutions, today announced that Gartner, Inc., a leading information technology research and advisory firm, positioned DataFlux in the leaders quadrant of its 2010 “Magic Quadrant for Data Quality Tools” annual report.

According to the report authored by Ted Friedman and Andreas Bitterer, “The trend of convergence of the data quality tools market with related markets for data integration tools and MDM products continues, as market demand increasingly moves toward broader data management capabilities spanning all of these disciplines.”

DataFlux enables business agility and IT efficiency by providing innovative data management technology and services that transform data into a strategic asset. With DataFlux enterprise data quality, data integration and master data management (MDM) products, organizations can more effectively and efficiently build and manage a unified view of a wide variety of corporate data, including customer, product, financial, supplier and asset.

“Data quality continues to be a critical need for organizations today,” said Tony Fisher, president and CEO of DataFlux. “As the amount of data that organizations consume and share continues to grow exponentially, so does the need for high-quality data. Even as more focus is given to other data initiatives, companies that keep data quality front and center can make decisions based on trusted data, see more successful projects and, ultimately, find more business success.”

Gartner’s Magic Quadrants evaluate vendors within a particular technology market based on their completeness of vision and ability to execute. The Magic Quadrant uses fifteen criteria varying in influence that position vendors based on their comparative strengths and cautions. These criteria include overall viability, customer experience, operations, market understanding, innovation and product/service.
