logo_mis-logo-o6 (Raleigh, N.C.) Mainline Information Systems™ has been named the 2009 Red Hat North American Partner of the Year. This award recognizes Mainline’s investment in sales and technical resources and training on the Red Hat product line, leading to a 400% year-over-year growth in sales. The award was presented at the Red Hat Summit Partner Conference held last month in Boston.

“We are honored to be selected for this recognition,” said Donn Bullock, Mainline vice president of sales for virtualization and cloud computing. “As a solution provider and trusted advisor, Mainline partners only with the industry’s leaders, investing based upon the needs of our customers, who want IT innovation at a reduced cost and are asking for open-source alternatives to achieve these objectives.”

In addition to this award, Red Hat also announced that Mainline, already a Red Hat Premier Partner and Public Sector Specialist, has been chosen to participate in the company’s Virtualization Acceleration program. This program provides market development funds and leads directly from Red Hat to close new virtualization business for the recently released Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization.

“Mainline continues to be a trusted and dedicated partner, that consistently renews its commitment to bringing the power of open source solutions to their customers through investment and training,” said Roger Egan, senior director, North American Channel Sales and Development, Red Hat. “The Red Hat Partner Awards were designed specifically to recognize this level of commitment from our partners and we are pleased to award the North American Commercial Partner of the Year Award to Mainline.”
