ASHEVILLE, N.C.–Technology integrator TSAChoice, Inc., with offices in Asheville, NC and Greenville, SC, announces that employees Michael Harmon and Sam McAllister have each earned technical certifications through two of TSAChoice’s business partners. Senior systems engineer Michael Harmon received his SSCA certification, or SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) School Certified Associate certification; and Voice Technician Sam McAllister completed a program to receive his Mitel Communications Director certification, or MCD I&M certification.

Mike Harmon completed an intense program to receive his SSCA certification. This certification program reviews SIP System Architecture and how it relates to PSTN (Public Switched Telephone Network), VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol), Security, FoIP (Fax over Internet Protocol), and Unified Communications. This certification is recognized by the Telecoms Industry Association (TIA); Building Industry Consulting Service International (BICSI); the Internet Telephony Services Providers Association (ITSPA); and Mitel, an industry leader in IP communications and applications such as collaboration, teleworking, mobility, and contact centers. Mike is a senior systems engineer and has been with TSAChoice for 17 years. He is a certified technician with VMware and Mitel.

Sam McAllister received his Mitel Communications Director certification, or MCD I&M certification. This is a technical certification that covers fundamentals of installing, configuring, and troubleshooting the MCD/3300 communications platform. Sam joined TSAChoice in June 2011 working with the cable crew, and was later moved into the Voice Division. Sam has a history working in low voltage systems and secure access. Prior to working at TSAChoice, he spent four years at Bob Jones University in its Infrastructure Division.
