ARiCON Signs Client-Tenant Agreement with Ventureprise

CHARLOTTE, N.C.–Ventureprise, a regional public-private non-profit that supports the success of start-up and early-stage entrepreneurs and is affiliated with UNC Charlotte, announces today a new client-tenant agreement with ARiCON LLC. ARiCON is a joint venture between CoroWare, Inc. (COWI.OTCQB), who is contributing mobile robotics development capabilities; and Lucas Snyder, a private investor who is contributing construction industry knowledge, expertise and customer relationships. John S Clark Company Closes Out 2012 by Celebrating Opening of Veterans Facility

KINSTON & MOUNT AIRY, N.C.–Reliable high-performance construction leader John S Clark Company, LLC (JS Clark) was on-hand at the dedication ceremony for the N.C. State Veterans Home in Kinston last December, joining hundreds of attendees and dignitaries such as N.C. Department of Administration Secretary Moses Carey and Governor Bev. Perdue. JS Clark completed work on the assisted care facility in November 2012, a 110,000-square-foot complex featuring 100 private bedrooms and an HVAC system consisting of geothermal-fed water source heat pumps with individual controls for each patient room.  “We could not think of a better way to mark a successful end to 2012 than to thank our nation’s military men and women by completing a major project to serve their needs here at home,” said company spokesman Gene Kemp. JS Clark led the construction of the state-of-the-art LEED facility, which will serve as the new home for up to 850 middle schoolers, many who will be moving over from their current learning environment in the oldest building in the school system, built in 1976. “The construction of this school is a milestone not only for the students and their families, but for the entire community,” said company spokesman Gene Kemp, who attended the event on behalf of the JS Clark Board of Directors. “We’re extremely proud to add this to our portfolio of institutional, commercial, retail, and technology projects across North Carolina,” he added. Medical Office Building at the NC Research Campus Begins Construction

(Kannapolis, N.C.) With the first heavy equipment on site, construction officially begins today on the new Medical Office Building on the NC Research Campus (NCRC). Located on Wellness Way near Dale Earnhardt Boulevard, the 60,000-square foot building is near the new Cabarrus Health Alliance building that opened earlier this year. Together, they anchor the medical corridor into the North Carolina Research Campus.  The Charlotte Mecklenburg Hospital Authority, the parent organization of Carolinas Healthcare System, is the building’s main tenant. They have leased half the building for primary- and specialty-care practices and an imaging center, all tied to of CMC-Northeast in Concord. Castle & Cooke, Inc.  The developers of the NCRC are actively marketing the additional 30,000 square feet of Class A medical office space. (more…)

As previously announced, on December 12, 2011, Martin Marietta commenced an exchange offer to effect a business combination with Vulcan that would create a U.S.-based company that is the global leader in construction aggregates with a footprint reaching across North America. As of December 9, 2011, the last trading day prior to the offer, the combined market capitalization was $7.7 billion and the combined total enterprise value was $11.4 billion.
