Funcom establishes casual MMO games subsidiary SweetRobot

(Durham, N.C.) Funcom has announced the establishment of a new subsidiary, SweetRobot, who will be publishing Funcom’s ventures into the social and casual MMO-gaming markets. The first project to be made available through SweetRobot is the upcoming MMO-game ‘Pets vs. Monsters’ which will go into public beta testing later this month. UNC Wilmington study shows educational video games positively influence student attitudes toward math

Academic researchers at the University of North Carolina Wilmington (UNCW) have concluded that educational video games positively influence student achievement and significantly affect student attitudes and self-efficacy toward the study of mathematics. Age of Conan re-evaluation campaign underway

Funcom has decided to repeat the successful re-evaluation campaign that went live earlier this year for the best-selling massively multiplayer online role-playing game “Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures.” Previously active players are encouraged to come back to the game and play free of charge for two entire weeks. As an additional incentive for players to come back and play for free, they will also receive a double experience boost throughout their free period. Those who decide to continue playing beyond their free period can also look forward to fantastic rewards such as guaranteed access to the beta test for The Secret World, a free copy of the expansion and more. RUaGamer holds grand opening of premier LAN gaming center
