Cree reports that the LED efficacy was measured at 231 lumens per watt using a single-die component at a correlated color temperature of 4500 K. Cree Reports Financial Results for the Third Quarter

(Durham, N.C.) Cree, Inc. (Nasdaq: CREE), a market leader in LED lighting, today announced revenue of $219.2 million for its third quarter of fiscal 2011, ended March 27, 2011. This represents a 6% decrease compared to revenue of $234.1 million reported for the third fiscal quarter last year and a 15% decrease compared to the second quarter of fiscal 2011. GAAP net income for the third quarter of $18.9 million, or $0.17 per diluted share, decreased 58% year-over-year compared to GAAP net income of $44.6 million, or $0.41 per diluted share, for the third quarter of fiscal 2010. On a non-GAAP basis, net income for the third quarter of fiscal 2011 of $30.1 million, or $0.27 per diluted share, decreased 41% year-over-year compared to non-GAAP net income for the third quarter of fiscal 2010 of $51.3 million, or $0.47 per diluted share. Cree Reports Financial Results for the Second Quarter

(Durham, N.C.) Cree, Inc. (Nasdaq: CREE), a market leader in LED lighting, today announced revenue of $257.0 million for its second quarter of fiscal 2011, ended December 26, 2010. This represents a 29% increase compared to revenue of $199.5 million reported for the second fiscal quarter last year and a 4% decrease compared to the first quarter of fiscal 2011. GAAP net income for the second quarter increased 47% year-over-year to $49.8 million, or $0.45 per diluted share, compared to GAAP net income of $33.8 million, or $0.32 per diluted share, for the second quarter of fiscal 2010. On a non-GAAP basis, net income for the second quarter of fiscal 2011 increased 51% year-over-year to $60.7 million, or $0.55 per diluted share, compared to non-GAAP net income for the second quarter of fiscal 2010 of $40.2 million, or $0.38 per diluted share.
